Studio Process: Remastering the Apocrypha:

‘Aleta’ (Prince Valiant)

Prince Valiant:  Reimagining “Aleta” –

as Lurid Pre-Code Horror SceneOdd size – Bristol board;  ball point ink.  The original story:  Prince Valiant and Aleta crashed their ship on an island, where trespassing, by any outsiders resulted in the death penalty.  They are taken to be executed – the suspense follows several strip installments in the newspaper.   1.  I posted the original scan.
 2.Then I reframed the borders digitally; and drew in the gaps ( with the mouse).
3.   I colored the border.
