Favorite Drum – Idea for Pt II. March of the Umbreed Army
I like drums for this part also.
This is the full 5 track version. (without percussion)
Individual tracks
Percussion
Drums A ( favorite) – at 41 – 51. Especially 1:57 – 2:20
This is a collection of melodies, not a soundtrack per se: to save time, I didn’t repeat the melodies as many times as they would be for a soundtrack. I had some ideas, and I recorded them, so I could work on them later.
(I know the drums aren’t perfect – wanted to accent the percussion highlights, as planned. Later the tempo and consistency can be practiced and developed)
( the speed is reduced, because it hasn’t been practiced )
This piece has potential:
1. for a female vocal part – and pre-code horror lyrics.
2. I may do some backing ( baritone/bass/tenor ) vocals: I had some hardcore/metal scream*** parts in mind –
(*** to possibly appeal to female fans of gothic horror, – cosplay )
not sure if I will feature my own vocals. Definitely will record parts, in my vocals, for the voice actresses, to follow; but, will likely hire an actor to sing the male parts as well.
( Since, my voice is recognizable: I don’t want any conflicts, with mainstream social media projects, as yet. )
3. As I practice, the more complex parts, are easier to play, at consistent speeds.
4. If I design lyrics for it, the piece can be arranged, to match, and I can feature more distinct melodies, and dynamics.
[ So, the piece may develop, and sound different than this first draft]
Tenatively titled: Pt. I: Dance of the Dullahans.
Pt. II: March of the Umbreed (Armies).
Lore: Currently, I had a story of a Dullahan ( headless horsemen, Celtic origin) army- featuring original characters, which I have planned for the comic and video game ( and illustrations).
The story can cross 3 Brands, and end with it’s own book. Begins in the plot of Suathra vs. Zaydimar. Continues in Shardanna’s origin reveal ( including Carrenna). Then crosses over to Congo Jongo, featuring a new character; building up for a climatic battle. After which, the characters are established as their entities, and can be featured, as such in their own continuity of stories; with recalling their origin, as a common plot element, and featured in the illustrations, and comics.
Some parts will be presentable for mainstream.
The benefit of the ‘dullahan‘ characters, is that they are established, and recognizable as part of folklore, as ghostlike, scary creatures. As horror, fantasy, they are associated with Celtic legends, and originate far back in history.
Accepted, as a magical creature – not required to explain how the headless army moves around**. They can be presented as fearsome characters, and their origin can be shown ; how they came to lose their heads. This is a very mainstream premise, that can be palatable to a wide audience, with variations exclusive to members.
I assume, the Lurid Max versions, I will draw, as though I am drawing my raw id – ideas, uncensored.
( without thinking about social politics, or who it will outrage, ect) Then decide, how to distribute it. Members of Luridmax will probably be the only viewers to have access to the ‘uncensored’ comics.
For sharing elsewhere, will be subject matter, that takes into account such aforementioned factors, and can focus on the soap opera, and sci-fi aspects ( rather than the lurid pre-code horror elements).
Ideally, with the two products, part of a cohesive whole, but the mainstream viewers, only seeing the mainstream aspects.*
*That’s been my plan for all the brands ( to have a mainstream, and lurid version)- easier said than done. There is alot of minutia, to present two different contents, with one published anonymously, and maintain anonymity between the two intersecting contents.
** minimal additional sci-fi artifice is needs to be presented, for the characters to make sense to an audience. Adds longevity to the pre-code horror aspects, since the headless characters can reappear in scenes, as players in the story, rather than only a ‘game over ‘ scene, with replayability of skin/ location/prop/supporting cast/ choose your own adventure variation. This adds to the ‘horror’ aspect, and can reach more viewers, that could potentially support the projects, in the meantime – while I concurrently develop the ‘lurid’ pre-code horror. [ less position for opponents to make a case against a ‘dullahan’ comic/ character, in mainstream social media; it’s like Medusa, or some monster of fantasy].
Yet to develop: how it relates to celtic folk lore – before interpreting it for my original lore, I should read about the related celtic legends. I would feature it, as either a storyline within Congo Jongo ( or Bizarre Tribal Horrors), and weave a soap opera, with a relatable cast, for mainstream; and develop variations of lurid pre-code horror scenes, for LuridMax Clandestine. And offer it to a new lurid pre code horror adult audience, under another brand.
Application potential: I think it would be really cool, and unique to these mediums, to have a song, sung by voice actresses, that has a 70’s, lurid, horror, style/ theme.
[ie,. like the soundtracks for Monty Python’s Life of Brian, Holy Grail, Meaning of Life. ]
