Voltar was a creation of Phillipine artist Alfredo Alcala – his graphic novel ( a masterpiece of inking, reminiscent of Albrecht Durer) was discovered by Marvel -he was flown to the U.S., s Voltar was a seminal work for Conan (Robert E. Howard). Alcala worked on Savage Sword of Conan. Voltar is available in collections. I came across this vintage “Voltar #1” in an online auction. Voltar inspired me to create the comics I am developing for Lurid Pre-Code Horror Adult audiences.
