” Hi, your voice acting is so versatile and high quality! It’s an honor to collaborate with such a talented individual.
I have two documents: 1. 1,000 wrds. A historical fiction screenplay ( in progress) 2. 1,500 wrds A continuation.
Project Description: It’s like Quantum Leap ( a time travel show from the 80’s), with a team ( like the Fantastic Four) trying to prevent the French Revolution – one day at a time, troubleshooting, how to prevent the bloody reign of terror, by intervening ( Like Butterfly Effect) and seeing how things change.
Edutainment, containing historical facts; political insight into times of tumultuous social unrest. Immersive classic French Revolution imagery has insight for current events, with parallel nature. The fictionalized plot’s underlying message, indirectly presented; viewer discovers it, rather than directly proselytized.
The series is planned at 4 more parts, getting more into the romance between the characters, and sci-fi premise. If you are interested, I can develop the sequels. It was designed as a metaphor for current events, using hyperbole; with Thermidor, showing similar societal attitudes. I am the artist creator, so the scenes/setting are very detailed, based on visual storyboards.
Application: Visual Novel, Strategy Video Game
The first voice on your opening demo reel sample, ( sober, default, I assume: natural voice) seems perfect for the dramatic tone. But I encourage you to be inspired to improvise as energetically, dynamic as you feel like suits each scene.
I have a recording by another actress, if you think it would help. But she did a straight read of it ( no acting). I didn’t want it to become a blue print for you – since you are the superior actress.
I have a few more projects I might order today if I have time to get the scripts attached, today. That are similarly designed as moral parables unfolding, beneath the veneer of lurid dramatic historical fiction ( all original characters).
I wanted to keep the gigs grouped by brand.
[ There are only two scripts: Thermidor II, are both the same Lines for you. But I attached an 18pg ( CONTEXT: others lines, if it helps) , and ONLY LINES 10 pg. – which ever works best) Don’t need to read both.]

June 14, 6:45 pm – I distributed the word, in sections, through present to Nov. * Though, I have an attention span, writing an entire day, most are not expected to be interested in reading that much at once; myself included. I offer the Transparency of posting content as I create it, visible for regular visitors to the Lurid Max website.
Some previous posted Works in Progress, are worth redrawing as a painting – and inked for CSP , software edit variations. Pending*, background, and supporting cast. I wanted to describe what is ‘pending’.

Honoring Legends
Before I finish some ‘pending images’*, I want to study some Frank Frazetta ( executioners, Death Dealer), Bronze age panels ( Spiderwoman, the Hangman), Conan ( some action poses), and Fastner and Larsen ( “Kiss of the Axe” – as a reproduction/ painting- series; and stylized skulls: by F & L, and Boris; and All the aforementioned from recent vintage Pre-code horror interiors and covers.
* I don’t have to ‘finish’ All the studies, to start completing the ‘Pending ‘ templates, illustrations, paintings, and comics – I have also, a pending commission, of a manga/anime character ( which I want to also study some anime faces, that are ideal; there is a range of anime; some looks like newspaper strips, and others look really beautiful; I want to draw the latter)
I want to incorporate mainstream, competitive professional quality into the aforementioned aspects of the images.
My process has been to prioritize*, female anatomy, poses, gestures, expression.
*( and reference gathering; ie, video game, 6th scale models, vintage comics; artwork on the internet)
Some of the challenging aspects of these Lurid Pre code horror illustrations* :
1. maintaining proper proportion between the face, and the figure. 2. choosing a distance, and position between the two, representing physics, dynamic and focal point 3. if possible, unique foreshortening, expression 4. to convey the scene requires about 4 images prelude ( standing, reacting, approaching, bending ); 4 images ( position/expression, supporting cast raised/ lowered, falling a/b ) and 4 images epilogue ( rolling, held, pike/shelf ect, dragged remains/pit/altar/display ect).
*( that differ in comparison to a portrait, landscape or mainstream Super hero illustration)
That’s the general, minimal depiction, of the main aspects* A competitive versions, adds image variations for each item.
Anywhere from 12 – 24 images, just for depicting a single lurid Pre-Code horror scene.
From an artist’s standpoint, it is a marathon; once it’s part of a mainstream 22 page story. It’s more work. Not necessarily harder, But, at every stage of development, the concern is, balancing the production of both.
Doing only the same scene, is monotonous, doing only the mainstream, is creating content there is already an abundance available for free, on galleries.
Thus, the key ingredient is time on task, and efficiency. The latter aspect, is the one that seems to determine if there is longevity to the project.
*( ie, if it were a summary of an animation).
As studies, logos, concepts add up, there is more I can apply to each scene. I look forward to having time and concentration, to complete the ‘pending ‘ studies, which will then, enable completing some of the ‘marathon’s*;
*templates that have a single figure, and are in detail, that merely need 2 additional elements to complete as stand alone illustrations.
Currently, I’m getting 2 weeks of ideas down on paper**, and detailed previous images; once there is nothing left to detail in an image, I plan to complete it ( either color pencil, or ink).
** ie, rough layouts, logo concepts, characters, scenes, combos, templates ect.

Fall of the ERYDESIS
In this story, the Blasphemers, use a drone, to collide with the Vessel, carrying a quarantined species; the Umbranide; along with powerful artifacts of the Designers; only allowed by the Top Stewards – the Immutables, to use to maintenance the Quarantine worlds, and implement creative repairs; of any conceivable nature ( space/time, material, lifeform, population, defense, elements: water, rock, air, fire, ect,..)
The Vessel, known as the Erydesis, is composed of various ‘giant’ individual pods, which jettison, when the Umbranide are discovered to be loose on the ship.

This morning I drew an idea for a new ‘mascot’ ( based on the main image of the website – which is also the avatar for the Lurid Max Deviant Art page; the an original redrawing/ painted in watercolor, of the Orange creature from the Metallica import cd. “Jump in the Fire/ Creeping Death” ) , that I look forward to developing in various stages.

Scanned Composition Books
I have found the Hard drive where I organized scans of 40 composition books ( last year).
These were chosen, as key dynamic freehand drawings, worth redrawing, and making into new comics; at full embellishment. In stages: redraw. Then loose redraw. Then embellish. Then use references, to create a template, from higher quality reference sources, for aspects that can be improved. Then the template can be redrawn. And incorporated into comics, illustrations and variations.
This was part of a protocol, to get high quality comics, that was delayed, last summer**. After my dog died, I mourned ( buried), and took time to assemble photos and videos of him and I the past decade. Taking up a week of studio time. Which set me behind for this project, and the mainstream project that might have got me hired as a penciller for Dark horse comics. Without a week to catch up, there was a hurricane. The work involved, took up the next 3 weeks*.
* And due to an elderly parent, who I feel responsible to look after, especially when trying to do physical activities ( due to medications that prevent blood clotting, ect), who felt inadequate, when I did the bulk of the labor; then went and did 3 weeks of unnecessary tasks, that merited supervision. The 6 weeks off task in the studio, was too much delay, for me to keep the impatient writer and his team waiting for me to complete the pencils I had worked on for free, for 6 months.
**From Aug – Sept (2019) I had unexpected events ( beloved pet died, hurricane): in Oct I realized if I tried to catch up the ‘unpaid’ mainstream project, the Lurid Max ( paid ) project would suffer.
I let go the mainstream project, since I wasn’t paid. In late Oct, I went on the Road trip* I managed to post, drawings, mostly without reference – during the Road Trip.
*(planning to stay a week; for a concert, to support a stroke survivor; with a relative: it turned out to be an intervention, for a serious issue I was hitherto unaware of: I stayed till late December – due to slightly sordid events). My intervention, saved a marriage, and prevented potential jail time, and possibly saved a life.
When I returned ( in late Dec 2019), there was more drama in the wake of my absence, from another family member, and some tasks I normally did*
* ( were too much for an elderly parent, who tried to do** it anyway ; sufferring a serious emergency, ICU).
**I took over all the duties, and worked assiduously to bring my posts back up to the standard I had envisioned. To bring about voice actresses, scripts, and get the video game idea developed some, I put in full time daily. ( 3 months of uninterrupted work).
Then in Late March*, following the Pandemic, and quarantine, there was another family event, that took up 3 weeks; related to a triangle, with one accusing the other, and me serving as peacemaker and referee.
*( nearly caught up, and ready to get ahead)
In Late April, I spent most of 1 week for my grandmother’s birthday*.
* Then, not long after, my birthday; an event that brought everyone together, and was several days not on task. Since, I try to work as much as possible, to keep making progress in the avenues that I am most capable at any given time*****. This June, and July, there are no birthday’s, and with the comics arranged mostly:
I am in a position to get ahead. And develop my art more rigorously. Most of what I have been posting from Oct to present, are drawings without reference, or template redrawings* .
*( which are loose interpretations)
The key to developing the highest quality artwork, is study ( reproduction ) drawing from references; this requires the most concentration, and quality sleep, and time on task, for multiple sessions.
My goal, for thoroughness, is to redraw as many of the priority composition drawings. And study draw as many of the comics covers*.
* ( which have perspective, or expression, or figure, that I feel is furthest from what I am able, and is most dynamic, and worth challenging to study draw, and apply to original comics and illustrations; that is usually informed, or a signature style trait of legendary artists, and iconic artworks).
When I started this project in 2014, my goal was to do a survey of as many relevant artists/artworks, as I can, to give myself the best chance of having a quality self produced comic, for both the mainstream, and adult lurid, pre-code horror genres, as I can.
Aside from taking time, to help out, or make a positive impact on people around me in my neighborhood, and family, I am stronger than before, at the tasks, and expect great artwork to steadily be closer.
***** So I prepare the website as I think of things ( in advance, as much as possible): Reproductions. ( I have the content, between getting it on the website, and the idea, is choosing a time, when I have done as much productive studio drawing, and have gotten adequate fresh content prepared for a few weeks in advance, then have time, to look through folders, and crop, and organize the: a) photos in progress b) scans/photos of the reference c) and study d) redrawings e) and pieces related ( templates, reference collages, and any inked, colored, multi media versions, and applications to script, audio, or video game html)

Adaptations
We know it’s lurid, pre-code horror – some get upset – we know that already. But why can’t it be done at a mainstream quality. Where are the indefatigable craftsmen – surely, some other artist on earth, with professional level of skill, has wondered what it would like, and drawn additional scenes for ones implied ( in Tarnsman of Gor, Kiss of the Ax, ect,..)
