Why Vintage Scans: Intro

The Vintage comics book scans, are to share my exploration of the comicbook covers of the Golden Age to Present. I have studied some of these, by reproduction drawing ( similar to a technique called Bargue drawings); so that I have in my repertoire, the classic forms from comicbook art that inspired me.

This section is scholarly, and free to anyone with access ( whether former, or current); and meant to give more insight into what I am working toward with my development of the upcoming original comics. I would like to convey what I liked most about the various artists, and eras, and incorporate it into this nostalgic venture.

If you have a favorite character, feel free to indicate it- and I might consider featuring it, in some capacity (possibly; if time permits); when it is convenient for me- one day; eventually.
