I have really been inspired by the Life work of Eric Stanton. He did work that was frowned upon in his time, but influenced a genre. Using models, and creating many original books. The poses, and charcoal tones, are perfect references for realizing the vision of top quality I had for the comicbook lore I have been developing. And an inspiration for the next direction – hiring live models. Thus far, I have explored as much as I could* of vintage comics, origins, 1st appearances; and a survey of iconic artists and their early works, and milestone pieces, from Golden age to present. And 6th scale models ( which I didn’t want to be neglectful in using, to be abreadst of all the modern tools competitive artists use**)
*before having more references than, time or space , to handle.
** If ever thrust into a deadline, to produce pages for a comic book, professionally, it would be nice to have put in serious study in as many professional aspects as I can; including 6th scale models. And the cosplay aspect of character costume appeal – which would be super cool, to see fit attractive models, dressing up, of their own volition, as fans of a character I designed.
