I found the original Fastner and Larson: “Kiss of the Ax”. Along with others of the same character ( unpublished commissions* )

How the Artists’ Inspired:

The Fastner and Larson series; I have been planning, and preparing references ( integrating it into lore, with stories featuring the scenes as part of a larger plot) for it for years. This was the image that inspired me to start practicing, and trying to be a professional artist.

Definitely would be cool to commission something similar: they have lurid pre-code horror sprinkled through their mainstream work: ( I had ordered: ” Kiss of Death”, TPB, “Tricks and Treats”, TPB,.. finally finding the higher res images of the aforementioned in their Little Black Book Vol I., with other great pieces, that can serve as representative templates of their style, for the physique similar to the one featured in the above mentioned illus – for making a series of images, as a cohesive sequence; and then applying it to fan art and other styles.
