Marvel’s Red Sonja = DC’s Starfire ( New Teen Titans)
Red Sonja 12: Ironic trivia: The colors used on this Red Sonja cover appear alot like the DC character ‘Starfire’ ; which was Dc’s attempt to make a Red Sonja derivative. The creators of Starfire ( of the New Teen Titans), admitted, they were trying to make a Red Sonja. They made the red hair longer, exaggerated – made her skin yellow, and costume purple; a different backstory. I grew up, never having any idea Starfire was a derivative – or inspired by – Red Sonja. Was this colored, intending to resemble ‘Starfire’? – Or just coincidence?
