Voice Actress Communique 1

Weds Oct 23 2019

I wrote:
Hi. I am a graphic artist, that is looking for voice over actresses to cast for several female characters in an original comicbook series, I designed ( SFW, and NSFW- but fairly conservative).

After listening to your demos definitely stood out as top quality; for both acting range, clear enunciation of words, and overall vocal talent. If you think supplemental material would help for the best product, I can provide it.

Let me know what works best for you. I can try to accommodate. If you enjoy the first few projects, and are okay ‘character – acting’ for 3 different characters – there are more scripts and characters; with potential for perpetual gigs, over this year and beyond.

The voice actress replied:
Sounds fun, do you need a sample

I replied:
I am glad you are interested – I am new at this. What does a ‘sample’ refer to: a) what is already on your demo samples on other platforms b) or an example of you reading a part of my script ?

[ if the latter, I will try to put together some dialogues, for 2 gigs ASAP]

She will likely contact tomorrow – ( she was on vacation till Oct 20). I spent most of the afternoon preparing 2 gigs – at 350 words each. For personality phrases, for 3 characters, that she suits ( a military general, a coquettish ingenue, a femme fatale) – and menu navigation ( in a softer mild, inviting tone).

This is basically a SFW, presentation of Good Girl Art characters, with voice acting to augment their drawn identities.

I will provide a written description of them, and allow your imagination to conceive their voices – and see what is produced.

Then, eventually, I can give you character drawings, and some of the sequential art scenes, where the dialogue takes place; or the visual novel pages itself ( when they are ready).

But to start, I wanted to see if I could build the art around the voice ( since I am still designing the finished look of the characters) There are many nuances of style I could use artistically. I think, once I have some dialogue recorded, it will be easier for me to choose ideal gestures, pose and facial expression to match the voice provided.
