Templates

I have Six 19 x 24″ templates in the works of various poses, and physiques – for application to character designs; as featured in Composition Book freehand ink drawings/prismacolors( in the Atelier> Composition Book> Characters). (Any costumes, or characters featured anywhere on the pages of this website are concepts that I can redraw using templates. )

Redrawing Process:

Distinct stages: 1) writing down, or quickly sketching the character appearance/costume 2) Finding references to study, and/or make composites ( combine) 3) spending 8 hours in the studio drawing from reference. 4) Redrawing the study, using informed parts that apply to the character 5) Doing a series of character concept art ( repeating steps 1 -5 . 6) Choosing the design I like best, and redrawing it( various medium) – and/or, inking, digital coloring. 7) Chosen illustration, is referenced when drawing the character in panels of a comicbook sequence 9) Rough layouts can also be redrawn ( as in steps 1-7) 8) Templates of sequences, can be used, with various concept art applied.

It’s redundant to cite: ‘ it’s fantasy art ‘ , get over it, get over yourself- you didn’t wake up yesterday.

Social media encourages people to type opinionated ‘comments’, whether sincerely, or disingenuously, – glorifying views; like a social video game (scrabble/combo) getting more points for certain ’tiles’.
