Got some good studio art done, for a couple days. Yesterday, I carried a large shelf 1/8 th of a mile, overhead – while walking my dog.
Anecdote:
Saw a 15 x 4 foot shelf, sturdy, with lots of partitions* on the side of the road.
* When quality furniture that I can use in the studio, appears, I generally consider taking it; if I really think I can use it; from a nice fancy house, being offered for pick up**
** ( first come first serve: the custom, is any one passing by is free to take it, up until , the garbage truck takes it)
I carried* it overhead in 8 sets of 60 feet carries. Did martial arts the rest of the morning; so I’d wouldn’t be tight; loose, and fast is ideal for drawing.
*I got a good sleep – the other day, – walked dog. Neighbor joked: ” I’d offer to help, but I got my boat” ( referring to his truck bed, and the boat he was taking out, for a day with his family) – while I stood with the large shelf, at the intersection, side walk, resting it in an upright position, to let my energy recharge. I said: ” No problem, I’m good.” and proceeded to carry it, balanced over my shoulders, ( like two telephone poles on either shoulder) – not really that heavy, maybe 120 pounds or more, mostly an awkward carry. I figured out a way to hold it in the center of gravity, that didn’t impede walking, or unnecessarily tighten up my arms.
Wrote a New Story :
” The Executionesses of Haldomar “*
*That’s what it’s about – not necessarily the title
( First Draft: 7 page, single spaced)
I typed a 7 page story* first draft, ; Developing Kalignos relationship to Suathra ( as villains), and the backstory of the Executionesses of Haldomarr; across the island of T’moah **
Tying into the story arcs of :
Zaydimar ( the Maelstrom), Jotugg Mnemoth ( the Crepusculoids), The Secret Cave of the Blasphemers, Congo Jongo, Nekki, Amandine, Gor-Max, Umbreed, Black Maude ( pirates), Shardanna, the Dulagchans of Kalignos, Sheogarto (underground dungeons), Gelfang (above ground, prison yard, concentration camp), Dalenrath (Merchant Fleets), and the Berast economy of T’moah and the islanders.
*( narrative monologue: with a new voice actress in mind)
**( tie in, to Nekki: Robot builder: a gory, robot, Kirisian, inspired: manga type ( sort of): “Nausicaa and the Valley of the Wind“; “Kiki’s Delivery Service”; “Akira”; “Neon Genesis Evangelion”; “Ninja Scroll”,” Ghost in the Shell”; and “Robotech” ) – Amandine;)
Audacity: Splicing
(Post processed,* using Audacity: Scheherzades’ Paradigm; Skerrah: ” Sleight of Heel” ) *(combined into variations of phrases):
*Main menu
Spliced Segments: Scheherazade’s Paradigm- logline 2;
– I noticed there were lengthy pauses between phrases, and I made them closer together; primarily, finding phrases, and making variations)
I figured out how to splice*, within “Audacity”; observing how cut segments, can be lined up next to each other.
*( a little – I should still read the instructions later*): An issue I want to learn** about, is how to adjust the segments volume ( ie, between different recordings from different actresses, that were recorded at different levels; which currently sound too quiet compared to the louder ones)
**-it shouldn’t be hard, but I imagine, like all instructions for software, can potentially take up unknown, amounts of studio time, sometimes an entire day’s worth of productivity.
I arranged words and phrases from the Scheherazade’s Paradigm, Logline two* , to make variations of phrases, that can be captions, for illustrations.
*( which I have broad cast rights for) I wasn’t expecting it to take so much time, to get my basic splicing ideas completed. There were a lot more phrases, than I recalled, and I wanted to get some lines, accessible, for developing; including the Skerrah ‘Sleight of Heel’ script. That actress did a great job, with upwards of 3 takes per phrase, and variations of segments within a phrase.
New Studio Art:
Post processing, and script writing is very time consuming*; where as studio art, is much more physical, and within hourly sessions**.
*( sessions, of over 6 hours to find a good stopping point on a task)
** comparatively manageable to schedule.
I Plan to focus on New Studio Art – and reduce the amount of remaining post processing, a little bit each week*
* ( or so; rather than trying to complete post processing, ASAP, and running out of studio art )
Never imagined, post processing, could be so geometrically more time consuming*, that writing the lines, and having them voice acted.
*I was aware I was staying up late; but had the energy – and the audio had been sitting around, for months; so I made sure to at least have some key lines accessible.
If I prioritize studio art, and get ahead; I can tackle the remaining post processing, and script editing*.
*Two major orders are pending. Once I complete it, there is a lot I can do; regarding actresses, the visual novel; ad creation, and game development. They are also milestones**, being the largest, cohesive, fantasy script, featuring my own original characters, for the public.
**With a handful of original IP, in final draft stories, and voice acting recorded, I look forward to daily studio work, and regular sleep and exercise. Once the effort to ‘write’ the main characters and backstories, and major first story arcs, the fun part***, I imagine, would be making up episodes; which can be easier to conceive, with already defined.illustrated concepts and characters.
***( like the difference between taking the bar exam, or medical exam, versus, coloring in a coloring book, and making up campfire stories on a vacation).

1.Ideas for illustrations I plan to redraw on 11 x 17″ in more detail. 2. My idea was inspired by the facial depictions, accurate expressions, and portrait like ( informed) faces of Devon Massey’s drawings; as a tonal painting. 3. This was a layout, planned for using Devon Massey’s expressions ( from original art) to redraw for a detailed illustration in Massey’s style of facial expression.

1. 11 x 17″ ( I started with costume, and color designs – first *) a redrawing, based on a Comp for a new character type – inspired by Devon Massey’s original “Cavewoman ” art ( comic pages)
*Before I wrapped up my auctions, the other day, and then unboxed, and put 100 Conan comics into bags/boards. ( Since tomorrow I have a 4 hour family event in the morning; I can likely work on it uninterrupted on Thur – through next Tues)
2. Wanted to put at least one more layer – ( black, for background, and outline) and ink over with micron. [ yellows: canary, lemon. red: tuscan. 2H pencil] -This is intended to convey the color, and general tone. I want to improve the letter proportions.*
*I am going to do some manual labor for at least an hour ( probably total 3; remaining, sometime tomorrow).
