I would like to really develop the Thermidor series, to get the same actress to read through the entire series [ Planned are: scenes in Madame Tussaud’s and related plots, continuing and developing arcs from the first: then possibly historical exploration, through the Jacobins, Muscadins, rejection of the Clergy, Rise of the demagogue, Invention of the Guillotine; and make a cross over into a fantasy world of feline humanoids, with a similar drama, using the studies from the historical fiction of Thermidor – into creative steampunk , sci-fi variations. Possibly Berni Wrightson style for Thermidor( ie , his Frankenstein plates) .

I was really inspired by the scope of manga “Innocence Rouge”. The detail of the architecture, costumes, gore. Some of the stylization, but not most of the overall physique stylization, or homoerotic tropes. The scope, however, the effort at story telling, characterization, and artistic fine art quality, historical, biographical research involved, make ” Innocence Rouge” stand out as a milestone, and career defining performance – really inspiring. Would like to bring that kind of dedication, and make an epic series, that can stand alone. Thus, I approached the creation of Thermidor, with the goal , of making it a historical report, with a sci-fi fantasy story arc. And use the templates, and panel work , I prepared for a mainstream project last year, ( the many character designs, and reference studies) to have a team of 4, time travel through the French Revolution, and observe, interact, and explore the consequences of each milestone of history, in a speculative fiction Epic, grounded in historical facts; like good sci – fi is.

Project Description

An immersive, historical fiction project, where 4 time travelers, get try to avert the atrocities of the French Revolution, bringing their modern morals, and sensibilities, to experience the gruesome brutalities of the chaotic period encompassing The Reign of Terror. Marie Tussaud’s workshop, and cast making of the heads.

Follow ups, and other episodes may explore the Era of Terror that followed Thermidor – the White terror.

The goal is to depict and illustrate the Revolutionary tribunals, The committees of Public Safety, and the Demagogue, Robiespierre, and teh Jacobins; because so much of that detailed history, can benefit the perspective of the present. Including the attitudes that preceded the Revolution.

As far as lurid pre code horror, like Skyrim, the scenes, add an immersive visceral fear, or appreciation of mortality, that illuminates the context of the paradigm, in a way sanitizing it, providing the inherent urgency and stakes of the dramas, and plots – removing it, lessens the authenticity.

I have many 6th scale headsculpts, that I plan to study, which will make great templates for Tussauds workshops panels.

Beginning with a history lesson – for some; a brief overview. The main characters can time travel, and explore multiple continuums, and potentialities, for the points in time they try to change.

I would like to use this as reference material for later projects, featuring a parallel of the French Revolution, taking place with fiction races, and characters: ( feline humanoids) that are dressed in similar costumes, with similar plot points. But have characters, dramas, which are original, and the names of the groups, parties, and tribunals, original, for a sci – fi fantsy depiction of it; that can cross over into other content.
